A needle in a haysrtack, you have more chance of finding one rather seeing a quail!

  • A scarce summer visitor to remote farmland on the higher downs to the north of Dorset
  • A secretive bird that rarely flies other than on its migration journeies
  • Most often its presence is only known from its call and it calls mostly in the evening
