One of two RSPB reserves in Weymouth renowned for its wintering birds but an ideal place to visit all year round.


 


Two recently constructed reservoirs that attract large numbers of wildfowl in winter but also have lots of flowers and insects in summer.


 


Not just a nature reserve, it is the home of the Dorset Wildlife Trust Conservation Centre, with several damp grassy meadows with an abundance of flora and fauna.


 


A small nature reserve but is a picture in spring with a carpet of wild flowers to see in a beautiful setting.


 


A narrow, wooded valley running from Branksome down to Poole Harbour.


 


An interesting mix of damp pasture, scrub and woodland renowned for its butterfly species.


 


A newly acquired DWT reserve at the top end of Poole Harbour. The tide was in the day I went which cut down my species list no end!
