An interesting walk across heathland that has been subject to mineral extraction and then descends to woodland with a splendid display of flowers in spring


 


A superb Dorset Wildlife Trust woodland reserve in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck.


 


A national marine nature reserve but I restrict my activities to the dry land and the species to be found on the nearby cliffs.

A walk to the wonderful Purbeck coast-line with the option of turning back or a steep descent and returning by a different route.


 


The extensive grounds around this National Trust property are a good site for woodland nature.

An urban nature reserve with an impressive species list providing a very pleasant walk for the nature lover.
