A premier RSPB reserve with a fascinating combination of habitat that includes classic heathland, tidal estuary, woodland and remnants of farmland. 


 


A remant of ancient hazel and ash coppice woodland with oak and ash standards now mamanged by the Dorset Wildlife Trust. 


 


An intriging mix of hazel coppice, ancient woodland, conifer plantation and private woodland for pheasant rearing!


 


Dry heathland and conifer plantation that has been developed mainly as an education facility for schools to teach the value of, and care for, heathland
