Here is a 'virtual' tour of this site to give you an idea of what to expect if you visit:

The abundant wild flowers and insects in summer are a key feature of this place

The original walls of the fortification are clearly visible

The walls are now wooded and make a pleasant walk

The top of the fort is now open grassland

There is also a significant amount of hedgerow scrub and shrubs

The flower-rich grassland is a real treat

A visit to Coney's Castle is well worth it - it is not a large site though

Look for the National Trust sign alongside the road
