      An interesting walk across heathland that has been subject to mineral extraction and then descends to woodland with a splendid display of flowers in spring

      A large area of mainly wet heathland and bog

      Some lovely views through interesting farmland lead to the eventual prize, the magnificent Purbeck coast line. Worth the effort in my opinion!

      Oakers Wood is a lovely peice of woodland and the neighbouring bog is a large area of wet heathland which the footpaths skirts around.

      Once Forestry Commission plantation this area is now being restored to Dorset heathland and is already showing positive signs of recovery.
