To aid users of mobile devices as well as those with a mouse or laptop finger pad this site uses a simple image-based menu system. Virtually every picture you see (images and photos) are links to more information arranged in a sort of top-down structure. See an image, click or tap on it to open a new page.

  • The aim of this section is to:

    • Provide starting point for finding a nature reserve or wildlife hot-spot that you want to know more about

    These aims are achieved by:

    • Providing a map with the sites that are featured on the Nature of Dorset with details of any site accessible by clicking on its pin
    • Providing an alphabetical index of sites to make finding one that you know the name of easy
    • Providing an index based on the owner/manager 

    This section can be used for:

    • Finding reserves to visit in a particular part of Dorset
    • Finding information about a specific reserve by name 
    • Finding all reserves managed by the Dorset Wildlife Trust for example nformation about an aspect on nature conservation that interests or concerns you
